Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Edwin Evers to fish local WABTA Event
WABTA anglers and board members were crucial proponents of the culling bill passed by the state of Wisconsin that allows for culling of bass in tournaments.A significant result of this law is the first Bassmaster Elite Series event in Wisconsin when the tour rolls into LaCrosse,Wi on June 21-24.To celebrate the return of professional bass fishing to its home state and thank WABTA for its contributions to the sport of fishing in Wisconsin,Milwaukee based Johnson Controls will welcome Optima Batteries pro staff member and Elite seies Champion Edwin Evers to town on June 15-16.
Edwin will participate in an employee event at Johnson Controls (parent company of Optima Batteries) on June 15 and select a Johnson Controls employee to fish with him in the WABTA event
sponsored by Midwest Athletic Fields on Rock Lake in Lake Mills,Wi on June 16th.Edwin and his partner will compete against the field of WABTA members,who will get the oppurtunity to test their skills against one of the best in the business.Edwin will stick around for the weigh in for meet and greet with WABTA members and their families as well as members of the local fishing community.

Culling law was passed and has been published and officially law for tournaments.
Thank you to our members who helped get this passed, the other organizations that showed their support and everyone who helped passed this bill.

NEW TEAM INCENTIVE :
- If you are registering as a new team and both members of the team has not fished WABTA for the last 4 seasons (2008-2011) you will qualify for no charge dues for 2012 (value $100).
- If that team fishes 4 events in 2012 you will receive a voucher for $200 to be used towards any tournament in 2013.
